My Kayaking Expedition

Yesterday I went on a NUS kayaking expedition to the northern islands of Singapore, with Fish. (Haha, and nope, I unfortunately did not see any real fishes... my friends saw some flying fishes though... ai ya, I'm just blind. Haha). Our route was roughly the one in pink. =) By the way, the water was super-duper-fantabulous-ly dirrrrty. I think it was shit everywhere. *pukez*

Before the rain

At first, it was totally burning and I was soaking myself in sunblock, because I was already burnt from the previous One Star kayaking course. Then later, on the way back (the green part of the route), the weather became pretty bad. The sky was dark, the waters were super choppy, the winds were torrential, there was thunder and lightning all around us, and the rain was crazy! We could hardly see ahead of us!!! But, oh man, the adrenaline rush was fantastic.

Just before the rain

Fish and I were paddling like crazy women. Haha... all the way we were like "go Go GO!" and "LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT" (like dragonboaters. HAha) And, to psycho ourselves, we went "Come on! ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!" Haha... we were pretending that we were part of the Amazing Race. HAHAHaha.

It was a great experience. Plus we had the satisfaction of being the second team (first girl term) to reach the shore... Muahahaha. =)

Cinderella

You know, with God, Cinderella's "happily ever after" ending is not just a fairytale. It is possible. Because God is an eternal being, and He has promised His children that when the time comes, we'll spend eternity, full of joy, together with Him. That's the wonderful thing He has promised us, and God never breaks His promise. Just look to the rainbow - did you know the rainbow symbolises God's promise to Noah? In the same way, it reminds us of God's promises to us.

So even though sometimes we feel like the clock has struck midnight and the dance is over. Just remember, out there, God's promise of the "happily ever after" remains, and the rainbow still comes after the rain. :)

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28
