The Interlaken railway station
Unfortunately, there was a lot of bad weather for the first few days that we spent in Interlaken. So because of that we couldn’t go up Jungfrau, which is one of the mountains peaks of the Swiss Alps and it houses the highest railway station in Europe. Interlaken ended up being so cold that on the second morning, it snowed! In spring! Fortunately our hostel was warm and cosy :)
Very pretty right? HAha... I mean the background... *ahem* and me. Haha (nah kidding lah). As you can see, I'm wearing my jacket cos it was super cold on this day.
Look at the beautiful background! I love the scenery... *dreamy*
Extreme sports is also quite common in Switzerland... as you can see from the picture. And look at my horrible tan... haha, because of Paris.
Anyway, we finally managed to go up to Jungfrau and it was a fantastic experience. There was a magnificent view – just pure white snow and mountain peaks. My eyes would have suffered if I didn’t have a sunglass! It was also freezing because it was -7 degrees and we didn’t have our thick winter wear you see. Anyway, in my title I wrote breathtaking right? Well, it was breathtakingly beautiful, and also literally breathtaking. Cos the air is much thinner at that height. Hahaha!
Look at the price!!! My eyeballs nearly fell out of my socket when I saw this... 5 Euros (which is S$10) for this cup noodle which is only about S$1 here! Griefs... and the craziest thing was that there were many Koreans (or Japanese) eating it!
Look at the train! It looks so fake! Like it is a toy train or something... but it's not! Haha... cool huh?
Interesting fact: meat fondue = steamboat. :)
Anyway, I love the breathtaking views in Switzerland!
