9th ENTRY: To Barcelona… which Gaudi rules, and Zara reigns

I found Barcelona to be a beautiful seaside city! I loved the place. For one thing, Gaudi, this famous architect, who built quite a few buildings there, made the place feel wacky and fun. Why? Cos he used mosaics! After seeing so much grand, huge and magnificent churches and other important buildings in the previous places that we went to, seeing Gaudi’s buildings made me feel happy and light for a change. Haha. Seriously! Don’t get me wrong, all the other grand buildings were impressive, but after a while, too much of it cause me to feel a bit oppressed. As a result, almost everything in Barcelona seemed different and unique!

Gaudi's buildings

Of course we visited the very important thing (I don’t know what to call it because it’s not a church, it’s not a building, I don’t know what it is actually) in Barcelona. It was also so different from everything that I’ve seen. I’m not even sure what it’s made of, but the sculptures of Jesus and all that look fascinating.

Anyway we also went to visit the football stadium, which was a bit disappointing because it was really dirty – there was a match just the night before so they haven’t cleaned it up yet.

And there was this fountain in the middle of a park which I completely fell in love with. It doesn’t look so nice in the picture though… but in reality, it’s big and beautiful, although it’s man-made.

Barcelona had this market place that was similar to our wet market but more high class. Look at all the gross looking stuff they sold! Haha!

Ok, this is not the gross part... haha but the nice part - the fruits are all so fresh and inviting! And I think I blended in with this stall. HAha.

Ok the gross part!!!

I think this is pig's nose.

My mom said that these are lungs.

Brains!

Kidneys, I think

And finally... heads!!! Ewwwwly looking heads.
