6th ENTRY: To Florence…which is the birth place of Da Vinci

I didn’t like Florence much cos I ended up with food poisoning on the first day… sighs. Florence had a lot of museums which really wasn’t my cup of tea. Not that we went inside any museums also, because the queues were simply too long.

The only historical thing that really attracted me was Michelangelo’s David… which I didn’t get to see either cos I was sick and the queue too long. Fortunately I could take a picture with a fake. Hahaha.

Michelangelo’s David

But the Duomo is really quite impressive I guess, it’s very big and iconic in Florence. We also managed to get inside without queuing much because we were lucky enough to be there when it just opened. Haha.

See how huge it is in comparison to the other buidings around it! And guess what? The above picture is a zoomed version using Yvonne's camera! It was so far away but still, look how clear it is! Haha... her camera is super zai.

Because I was sick, I could not eat from this famous ice cream shop which had many many flavours of ice cream! :( Boohoo.

And just some other stuff, Florence is known for leather, so there were many shops selling leather bags, belts etc. Florence is also the birth place of the famous Leonardo Da Vinci. I took a picture with “him”. Haha.

This is Ponte Vecchio ("Old bridge" in English)
