The towels that were placed on our hotel beds were folded into heart shapes! That’s how romantic it is. Haha.
Ponte di Rialto ("The Rialto Bridge"), a famous bridge which spans across the Great Canal

Anyway there were many glass things that were sold in shops because Venice is famous for the murano glass. There were also many masks which were really elaborate and glamorous (and expensive) – I would really love to wear one to a masked ball!
Of course there was also the gondolas which we didn’t take because it was simply too expensive. In reality, the gondolas are very grand and pretty… but you can’t see that clearly from this picture.
And pigeons! Goodness! Piazza San Marco ("St Mark's Square") had hundreds of pigeons all over the place!

This is the Bridge of Sighs... how it got it's name is very interesting. It is connected to the old prisons, and it is said that when prisoners were brought to their cells, they would sigh when they get the last view of Venice from this bridge.
